The Pawtucket Foundation represents the private business and not-for-profit sector in advocating for downtown, riverfront, and “gateway” improvements within Pawtucket. As a group of civic entrepreneurs, the Foundation works to maintain a vision of the community's future and to help assemble the information, talent, and resources to realize this vision.
Momentum set the tone for Foundation's Annual Meeting
The Pawtucket Foundation hosted its 9th Annual Meeting on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Visitor Center. Eighty guests were in attendance as the Foundation introduced seven new board members, announced their 2010 Awards Celebration honorees and presented Momentum: ^Building a bridge to prosperity, a progression from last year's Blueprint presentation. Transportation momentum continues
RIPTA recently released its Providence Metropolitan Transit Enhancement Study for the region. The study outlines a number of improvements in Pawtucket as well as opportunities to more effectively link to the Creative Capital. 2009 Fall Foundation Focus now available
The Pawtucket Foundation's quarterly newsletter is now available for download. This season's edition includes the welcoming of two new restaurants and other up and coming developments. Over 100 entries received for Naming Contest: Winner to be announced January 12
The Pawtucket Foundation has received over 120 entries from more than 70 individuals for the downtown name-the-neighborhood contest. The winner of the $500 prize and recognition at the Annual Awards Celebration will be announced on January 12th at the Foundation's Annual Meeting. The competition, co-sponsored by The Times and Alliance Blackstone Valley Federal Credit Union, called for submissions to identify a name for Pawtucket’s downtown neighborhood that markets the positive attributes that make the neighborhood an attractive place to live, work and visit.
