Trash Transfer

Introduction

In April of 2008 the Supreme Court of the State of Rhode Island and the U.S. Federal District Court weighed in with separate opinions which appeared to end the bid of a company known in Rhode Island as Pawtucket Transfer Operations, Inc. (PTO) to build and operate a 2,000 ton per day truck-to-rail transfer facility on a center city site owned by the Providence & Worcester Railroad.
